Ben Mejia, Director of Youth Club
Since joining the youth group in 2005, Director of Chino Hills Flash has overseen a major transformation, helping them elevate to previously unseen heights.
Coach Mejia began coaching at Santiago High School in Garden Grove for one season.  He helped three runners qualify for CIF prelims in his first season. Ben recruited the Corona brothers who eventually became a force to be reckoned with in Division 2. The Brothers were ALL CIF Southern Section finishing 7th and 8threspectively leading Santiago to a CIF Southern Section Championship and a Runner up State Title.

In 1999Coach Mejia took the coaching job at Century High School in Santa Ana  turning the cross country program around  from the previous year, leading them to a 2ndplace finish, in the Empire league for the first time in school history. The only team that beat Century was nationally ranked Katella who eventually endedup finished 5th in the nation. During track season Ben had 7frosh/sophomore under the 5 min barrier for the mile. He is currently an assistant coach at Glendora High School.  Glendora is currently among the states powerhouses in the distance. During this past season Glendora won the tough Sierra League Championship.

During his years in coaching youth athletes he has helped Aracely Rojas-Garcia’s transition from youth to high school an easy one. She made an immediate impact on the Chino Hills high schoolteam as a freshman running number 3 girl for a State finalist cross country team.During track season she finished runner-up in the dominant Sierra league 3200meters.  A freshman standout by the name of Chandler Colquitt at Ayala High school was also a productof Ben’s coaching.
